Most popular Mercury Tracer for sale

This is the first Mercury that I have owned although I have owned several Ford Escorts. All were very good small cars, with excellent gas mileage, the major reason that I purchased each one. I did a through research on cars between 1995 and 2003 the reason for this was price range and reliable condition. I also used consumers guide and the internet for a resource. I have only been driving the Tracer for about a month, 2498 miles. I purchases the Tracer off of ebay for $2100.00 from a very reputable dealer in Montgomery, Pa., and have had only one problem and that was for a coil replacement. The Mercury runs great with about 37mpg total city and country driving. The integrity is very good and the inside of the car is nice, even though it is a bit small, it fits 4 people very nicely. As in all small cars it is a bit difficult to work on but all of the routine maintenance can be done by the owner. The only average point, that is usually common with all small cars, it has a moderately rough ride. I think that over all the Tracer, for the years 1997 through 1999, like its twin the Ford Escort, for the same years are very good, reliable, nice running, and great gas savers.

It is exactly what was needed. All the room in the world (it's a wagon) and yet small and economical. The perfect sidekick for the truck and it gets three times the mileage. Yes it would be nice to have two or three more squirrels in the cage for those hills with the a/c on but it was meant to be economical. Gets 35-37 mpg on the flat road. What a blessing with gas over $4.00. Great condition and all the common options that you want.

It all comes down to the honest feedback that buyers and sellers leave each other. It is what we base every bid on. What did someone else say about this person. Yes you will always have that 10% that won't be happy with their purchase but you have to eBay based on the other 90% (and normally 98%).

The seller was great and worked hard to make sure that this was a fly in and drive out buy. On time and ready to go. That makes the whole transaction so worth it. I have had buys on here where I flew 2000 miles only to get there and not be able to complete the buy because the vehicle wasn't ready or things were missing. And then the cost to get home is astronomical.

So this makes 2 out of 3 that went well (knock on wood) and as they say "2 out of 3 ain't bad".
