Most popular Mercury Sable for sale

My wife needed a newer used car than she had-- a 1997 Acura that rattled like a cheap ghost in a horror movie every time she drove. We bought a 2001 Mercury Sable with 145,000 miles on it. The body was in great shape and the interior was good with all the buttons working. All this was accurately described by the wholesale dealer. We got it for about $1,000 less than KBB.com listed it-- good deal! Now, the downside: The former owner disabled or cut the cable to the "check engine" light. I DO NOT blame the dealer I bought it from, there was NO way he could know. Now the vehicle needs about $1,200.00 in repairs-- one of the most troublesome repairs being that our mechanic will have to open the dashboard to reconnect the check engine light. We expected repairs-- and budgeted, but the sad story is that someone would go to so much trouble to knock out the "check engine" light to cheat someone. (Probably the dealer who traded it in originally). On the plus side, it is a sturdy vehicle, with a smooth ride, and we will get 2-3 years out of it once the repairs are made. My summation: Good car, pretty good deal, but any used car has problems you don't know about-- so budget accordingly.

This is a good clean car that has absolutely no rust. You can tell it has been well cared for. The seller's communication was great and was very easy to deal with. All in all, it was a very positive experience and I would deal with this seller again.

it was a new car for getting to work plus it has lower miles on and it help that i have to do very little work to it . it was a great buy
