Car has enough power to take the worry out of onramp and enough room to go on a weekend trip. Good gas milage, good top end, cheap pricetag. Not as fast as a Miata or MR2 but a much more usable car. Only problem with the car is a lack of parts support from mercury. If you get one and intend to keep it get a parts car. eBay is a big help but this will need to be a second car due to delays in parts arrival. Make sure you get the hardtop as it makes the car a winner year round. For a real thrill get a 94 xr2. It has all the goodies and is twice as sharp as the 91 - 93 models. (unfortunately only 366 were made.) I got my first one, I now have 5, as a happy divorce present. Didn't have a lot of cash and wanted a car for flash and fun. It has been all that.

This is a great care to drive. Save money on gas. Seem from what I can tell the motor keeps going and going. Might be hard to find someone to work on if you live in a small town. Find most of your parts if needed here on ebay. I would buy another one for my son if one came up in the condition mine is in. Fun Fun Fun....

These cars in Australia are known as "Ford Capri" so if you check out ebay.com.au you could find parts (probably) although they are right hand drive here (the proper side!!)
