The car is gorgeous, with its rolling curves and soft lines. At first glance, it looks like a modern classic, offering up the gentle rolls found in the automobiles of another era. However, the inside tells another story. With the polished aluminum trim / accessories, the car is truly a mix of past and present.

Performance is on par with a turbo charged 4 cylinder motor. The Audi TT is not a light car, coming in at just under 3,000 lbs. However, with 180 HP that is easily modified to a near 300 WHP beast, the car is a dream. The stock TT handles marvelously, and upgraded suspension turns this car into a beast that handles on rails.

Downfalls.
Unfortunately, the TT requires lots of maintenance. Look at spending $2000 a year on routine maintenance. The timing belts MUST be changed every 60,000 miles. If you put this off, and risk snapping it, you are looking at a $4,500 head rebuild. A typical timing belt job replaced the belt, waterpump (the plastic impeller cracks and breaks off inside the engine causing it to seize), belt tensioner (common fail part), stretch bolts, and a thermostat is also sometimes changed as well.
-The haldex needs servicing every 20,000 miles.
-The oil NEEDS to always be changed at normal intervals.
-The Audi TT eats only Premium gas (at $3.59 a gallon currently).

Lastly - If you buy one, join all of the Audi TT user sites. It will save you thousands!

This car is loaded with features and is very reliable. It's futuristic design turns alot of heads! Most importantly, it is a safe car, because it has all-wheel drive, anti-lock breaks, and several air bags to protect the driver and passengers.

Got this from seller- It did not run - had to jump if off when we got it off the truck. When we did jump it off- the check engine light was lit. Had engine problems about $3000 worth. Missing parts off engine- basicly the check engine light will be on all the time - no matter what we do. Seller not answering calls or answering emails. Radio needs a code to unlock- seller did not provide & will not answer calls. Shocks & struts were shot another $1500. Overall a maintenance nightmare- this when seller advertised this as in very good condition. Right!
