We leased an '04 Allroad and have absolutely loved it. The ride is smooth, road-hugging and sporty. The cargo area is spacious and extremely useful. I fit a 45 lb. dog and a Bugaboo stroller in the trunk with no problem or yelping from the pooch. The seats are comfortable, particularly having the heated front and rear options. Dual climate control is fantastic and has never even hiccuped. I'm minivan phobic and already have one SUV, this is a fantastic alternative vehicle. We do all our run-around weekend driving and it serves as my daily commuter. I only wish it had better cup-holders and that it wasn't so Teutonic with the message alerts. Otherwise, it is an absolute pleasure. We're actually considering purchasing it, which is shocking in light of the buy-out. We just can't find anything we like better for the same price. I highly recommend this car/crossover/quasi-suv "uber-wagon". Source: eBay Motors Reviews |
2002 Audi Allroad: The car that has it all! This car truly has it all: comfortable ride, powerful engine, amazing interior, cargo space, great handling, and the freedom to thumb your nose at mother nature. It was the only car other than an S4 that you could get with the stunning 2.7T engine and a 6sp manual transmission.
I've had this car for 5 years and 70K (car has 115K total) bought Certified Pre-Owned from University Audi in Seattle. I've had no significant trouble with the car with the exception of needing a new clutch at about 95K (the car is a real sleeper, it will dust a mustang GT in a drag race every time.) The high cost of my clutch abuse was $3000.00 at a Houston area dealership. Other than user abuse, the reliability has been excellent however, I'm terrified of what it will cost to fix if it ever does break.
Its fast, it will charge up an ice covered mountain like its the middle of summer, it gets good gas mileage compared to an SUV, its truly comfortable for 4 large adults, and it will haul anything you can fit in it. I haven't been able to find a car I like more. Source: eBay Motors Reviews |

I really like the capability of the package - powerful engine, all-wheel drive, adjustable road clearance. I love this era of Audi styling. I am somewhat concerned about all the magic stuff like automatic ride height adjustment. There were more dings and nicks than i thought there would be and the sunroof (surprise - no) is messed up. I bought it for my wife because she needed to replace her 12 year old Audi, but we may have to arm wrestle for it because I love driving it. Except for the speeding ticket!
